Description
Pretty blue and green flash through these boulder opal earrings. They are electroformed in sterling silver with shepherd hooks.
Electroforming involves a process whereby silver dust is painted around the stone and then it is suspended in a silver cyanide solution where silver is electro deposited as a thick layer of fine silver. It is then sanded and polished the same as a casting.
As with opal they are not an exact pair and one it is brighter than the other.
