Solid Queensland sandstone matrix opal displaying sparkles of green colours (like “fairy lights”). This piece has been carbonised (blackened) to bring out the colour of the opal. It is found on the Queensland opal fields in association with pipe opal. It has been stabilised with polymer resin to maintain strength and durability
