Bright green sparkles through this Australian pipe opal from our mine in western Queensland.
Stone size: 12mm long x 8.5mm wide x 3mm thick and weighs 2.45cts
Pipe opal occurs when fragments of tree roots or any organic material are trapped in sediments on an opal level and in time some of resulting cavaties are replaced by potch or precious opal.
