Description
Beautiful bright blue/green pipe opal from our mine in the Quilpie district in western Queensland. It has natural adhering sandstone still on the back and a little showing in the face.
Pipe opal occurs when fragments of tree roots or any organic material are trapped in sediments on an opal level and in time some of resulting cavaties are replaced by potch or precious opal. This opal has been fracture filled. The sandstone has been stabilised with a polymer resin. (Not a doublet)
It is handcrafted in quality .925 solid sterling silver and rhodium plated. Comes with a FREE polishing cloth.
Ring size: US-8 1/4, GB-Q.
