These natural Australian boulder opal come alive as they are moved about showing mainly green but rainbow colours are also seen. They are electroformed in 925 solid sterling silver with solid sterling silver hooks.
Stone size: 12mm long x 8mm wide
Earring size: 24mm long x 9.5mm wide
Electroforming involves a process whereby silver dust is painted around the stone and then it is suspended in a silver cyanide solution where silver is electro deposited as a thick layer of fine silver. It is then sanded and polished the same as a casting.
