Description
Green pinfire sparkles shine through these Carbonised Sandstone matrix opal cufflinks. The sandstone opal is found on the Queensland opal fields in association with pipe opal. In the raw state opal is not always visible in the sandstone and therefore some pieces are carbonised (blackened) to bring out the colour of the opal. It has been stabilised with polymer resin to maintain strength and durability.
