Description
Beautiful green and red colours are displayed in this solid Australian Pipe opal from western Queensland. The natural sandstone showing in the face of this opal as well as the back of the opal has been stabilised with a polymer resin to increase strength and durability and avoid chipping during setting process.
Pipe opal occurs when fragments of tree roots or any organic material are trapped in sediments on an opal level and in time some of resulting cavaties are replaced by potch or precious opal. (Not a doublet).
It is quality handcrafted with cast swinging bail in solid 925 sterling silver and rhodium plated to prevent tarnishing. It is placed on a solid sterling silver chain. Also comes with a black rubber cord. Comes boxed with FREE silver polishing cloth.
